Overseas, The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn - Part 1 easily set a franchise record, coming in ahead of New Moon's $132.5-million debut and well ahead of Eclipse 's $104.5-million. The estimated three-day tally in the U.K. was $22 million. Russia was the No.-2 market with $15 million in ticket sales. France accounted for $14.5 million, while Australia contributed $12.5 million. Every other film was left in the dust. Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin The Secret of the Unicorn was the No.2 film overseas with $21.7 million. That brought its overseas total to $187.6 million, a nice pad to whatever it earns domestically. The film is due to open in North America on December 21.
