So most people have seen 'The Hunger Games' by now. What did you think of it? Would you class yourself as a super fan? If so, do you fancy buying the location where it was set? That's right, for anyone obsessed enough with the sci-fi adaptation (and the figures at the Box Office would suggest that plenty of people are,) they can buy District 12 for a cool $1.4 million which, as the Mercury News wittily put, is approximately the amount of money the film has made in the time it's taken you to read this.

Henry River Village Mill, the abandoned North Carolina mill town where the district scenes of 'The Hunger Games' were set, is up for sale. Reportedly the owner, 83-year-old Wade Shepherd, is overwhelmed by the numbers who've visited the area since the film was made and wants out as a result. For your $1.4 million you'd get 72 acres and a rag tag selection of very famous rundown buildings, ripe for somebody to make a 'Hunger Games' amusement park on the site.

The success of 'The Hunger Games' has been almost unprecedented, with only the final 'Harry Potter' film and 'The Dark Knight' grossing more in an opening weekend at the US Box Office. It's been on top of the listings for two weeks now, having racked up over $215 million dollars thus far at home.
