The actor, a former regular on One Life to Live, is currently in hospital with multiple injuries following the Halloween crash near Reno, Nevada.

His mother, Elizabeth Jackson, took to Facebook on Sunday (01Nov15), calling on her followers to pray for her son as he fights for his life.

"Please pray for my son Nathaniel Marston," she wrote. "He was in a car accident last night and is in the intensive care on life support... Please pray that Nate does not end up a paraplegic... neck broken and fractured neck vertebrata... Shoulder broken along with all ribs. Collapsed lung and pnenoma (sic). Other internal injuries."

"In all likelihood if he lives he will be paralyzed from the neck down and will not breathe without a ventilator machine."

Elizabeth noted that she had spoken to local highway patrol officers, who confirmed he was sober at the time of the accident.

Nathaniel was also a regular on another hit soap opera, As the World Turns, and had appearances on the big screen in The Craft, Ordinary Sinner, and Love Is All There Is with Angelina Jolie.
