Sian Williams will bring the curtain down on an era tomorrow morning (March 14, 2012) when she hosts her final Breakfast show on the BBC. Williams originally appeared on the show in 2001 as a covering presenter, being promoted to the main female co-host in 2005 working with first DERMOT MURNAGHAN and, from 2008 onwards, BILL TURNBULL.

Speaking to UK newspaper The Sun's TV Biz, Williams claimed it was going to be tough to keep the tears in on her final appearance. "Bill said to me today, 'What's our anti-crying strategy?' because we've got an anti-giggling strategy," the Welsh-born presenter said, "So... we have to work it out from now to Thursday morning. We've got that time to work on how not to cry."

The omens don't look good for a dry goodbye however, with the star confessing "I have already got quite emotional out there because Bill has said some lovely things. We have been friends for 20 years and working together for more than ten so it will be a big moment on Thursday." One thing Williams has promised is to remain on the BBC, despite rumours linking her with a move to rival free view network ITV. She'll be hosting a show on BBC Radio 4 and covering the Olympics, to which she reflected "I am with the BBC. I am really looking forward to doing the Olympics and going back to the newsroom."
