Fire crews responded to the music producer and Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star's Las Vegas home on Thursday afternoon (26May16) after a neighbour reported flames coming from the property.

The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes, but one of his collection of exotic pets, a caracal, was found unresponsive. Animal control units attended the house to help with the animal, but the wild cat subsequently died.

Mally Mall, real name Jamal Rashid, shared his devastation on Instagram by sharing a picture of his pet Nyla and writing, "#nyla baby words can't describe what im feeling ... Nothing really matters anymore all I can do is (pray)." The post started and ended with broken heart emojis.

It is not known what caused the blaze and how badly it damaged the house, but a neighbour told TMZ.com the fire began in the closet of the master bedroom.

No human or further animals injuries were reported.
