Friends and family of late Kriss Kross star Chris Kelly remembered the rapper as he was honoured at the inaugural Live and Die for Hip-Hop Black Out gala on Saturday (06Sep14).
The Jump hitmaker died of a drug overdose in May last year (13) and his life was celebrated in his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia at the Woodruff Arts Center.
The event was hosted by rapper Lil Wayne's daughter and aspiring singer Reginae Carter and rapper-turned-radio personality Ed Lover.
Special performances and guest appearances made up the night, and familiar faces such as former Xscape singer Tiny Harris and Sean 'Diddy' Combs' ex-girlfriend Kim Porter were among those in attendance.
Proceeds from the event will go towards a scholarship fund for the students of Kelly's alma mater, the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media.
