The stars of '19 Kids and Counting', the Duggar family, have seemingly responded to a petition calling for their show's cancellation with a petition of their own.
The Duggars, the family which is the focus of TLC's reality show 19 Kids and Counting, has responded to a petition on Change.org calling for their show to be taken off the air.

The Change.org petition, created by Jim Wissick, calls for 19 Kids and Counting to be cancelled as Michelle Duggar has opposed a law which would allow transgender people to use bathrooms designated for people of their gender identity. The petition claims Duggar has been campaigning against the law on the grounds that men who have "past child predator convictions" could enter women's bathrooms legally by claiming they are female. Of course, as Wissick rightly points out, her statement implies transgender people are 'child predators'.
The petition states: "End LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggars. The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people. You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show."
In response, a fan of the show operating a Facebook page for Michelle Duggar has created a petition in response. The petition, posted on ipetitions.com, claims "anti-marriage advocates" had created petitions calling for 19 Kids and Counting to be taken off the air. The petition claims it is commending the Duggar family for "defending marriage as ordained by God between one man and one woman."
Wissick's Change.org petition has already gained more than 140,000 signatures whilst the ipetitions.com petition has gained a mere 28,000. TLC, as E! reports, has not made any comment about either petition.
