Spoilers Alert!

So, Once Upon a Time fans, what did you make of last night’s episode? We have to admit that we were a little disappointed…but then we weren’t. It seemed for a while as though things were heading for a sort of tired storyline at one point what with history repeating itself with the exact same curse from the first season.

The episode, entitled “A Curious Thing” had a few shock revelations. Charming and Snow met Glinda the Good Witch from Wizard of Oz fame, who, incidentally, could pass for Jennifer Morrison’s twin sister.  Glinda let them know that Zelena’s power was stored inside the charm she wears around her neck (shocker! that one was totally unpredictable!) as well as letting them know it would have to be "a purveyor of the strongest light magic" that would be able to defeat Zelena. The Charmings put two and two together that their daughter Emma, the Saviour, is the only one that can stop the Wicked Witch.

We were seriously relieved when Regina and Robin finally got together, she certainly did look “smitten.” Right up until Henry addressed her as “Madam Mayor”, which was a bit odd, but then again Henry’s a bit of an odd kid.

Hook’s lips are still cursed, so when Zelena threatens him with killing Henry unless he uses them to kiss Emma and steal her magic, he decides to get Henry out of Storybrooke ASAP. Henry finally remembers his life before New York and that blasted Gameboy that he’s always playing on, before becoming the focal point, resulting in a huge magic off between Zelena, Emma and Regina.

Most shocking was finding out how all the fairy tale folk had ended up back in Storybrooke. In a flashback from the Forbidden Forest, Snow figures that it’s up to her to get them all back, but to do this she has to kill the one that she loves the most - David AKA Charming. She does it, but immediately after Zelena appears to screw things up. Snow asks Regina to take out her heart and split it in two, giving half to Charming so that he comes back to life and the pair live off a shared heart. Soppy stuff, but it sorts of makes sense for television’s most steady couple.

Now that the gang have remembered what they need to do to defeat Zelena, it's just a matter of waiting to see how they go about it.  We'd like Rumple to play a bigger role, we've been missing him of late.
