Nickelback have cancelled the rest of their No Fixed Address North American tour due to Chad's emergency voice box surgery.

The band - Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake

Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair - cancelled shows over the weekend for vocal issues and tonight (23.06.15) announced they've had to call the rest of the shows off due to frontman, Chad being diagnosed with a vocal cyst.

He told fans the news in a statement, which read: ''I am sorry I have to interrupt the party this summer and I am definitely not thrilled with the prospect of being silent for many weeks to come when I could be out there playing for our fans. I am relying on my doctor and his team to help get my voice back in good form as quickly as possible.''

According to website Loudwire, The 'How You Remind Me' hitmaker is expected to begin his surgery in three weeks and has been ordered by medical professionals to rest his vocals until he starts the treatment.

It is thought he will make a full recovery in time for the European leg of the tour, which starts in Lithuania on October 14.

Gig-goers will be able to get full refunds for the North American tour through the band's website.
