A DWI may be filed against a nearly nude driver from New York who was allegedly only wearing an unzipped jacket when she crashed her car into a stone wall in New Jersey, before driving off. The crash occurred early on Friday (January 18, 2013) in the community of Sparta Township.

An officer stopped the car just minutes after the crash, with 36-year-old driver Catherine Giaquinto of Warwick allegedly telling police she couldn't remember the accident or where she was going, according to the Associated Press. After noticing some of her clothes in the car, officers asked Ms Giaquinto to get dressed, which she did after several minutes. According to the Daily Mail, a series of field sobriety tests revealed an "extremely high level of intoxication" and standing upright appeared beyond her ability. Her vehicle was impounded, while Giaquinto was released to the care of a sober adult, though it not known whether she has retained a lawyer.

The woman has been charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath testing, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, careless driving, failure to wear a sea tbelt and a documentation violation.
