Narcos producers have reportedly been banned from filming at the house where Pablo Escobar died, out of respect for the local community.
Production for the Netflix series, which stars Wagner Moura as the notorious Colombian druglord, wanted to film Escobar's fatal shootout with police on the actual roof in Medellin, Colombia, where he was killed in 1993.
According to TMZ.com, the crew tracked down the man who is currently renting the property and asked permission but it was refused out of respect for the community and the owners of the house.
It is allegedly still taboo to mock Escobar's memory in Medellin, and producers had to scramble to find a replica roof to recreate the death scene.
Escobar's drug cartel reportedly supplied an estimated 80 per cent of the cocaine smuggled in the United States, and he was worth around $30 billion by the early 1990s. He was shot dead by Colombian National Police on 2 December, 1993.
