Empire Of The Sun star Luke Steele ignores his fans when he plays live.
The musician - who is joined in the group by Nick Littlemore - is so focused on his performance he doesn't pay attention to what his fans are doing.
He said: "It's funny, but since the first day I've performed I've never really realised the crowd... I'm so insular from the moment I hit the stage but it's pretty much the whole thing of giving it my all."
Although he ignores his fans when he is on stage, Luke says his admirers don't ignore him when he tries to watch bands.
The 'Walking on a Dream' singer - who is playing a host of festivals this summer - explained to NME magazine: "I always used to like to go in the crowd at festivals but now it's a bit of a problem. I've become too famous! It's weird. Well in Australia anyway. I go into the crowd and before you know it there are girls pulling their tops down going, 'Sign this one! And the second one!' And it's like, 'What am I supposed to do here?' "
