Rumours have been flying around all week about who went to the wedding of Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, but even more energy has been ploughed into working out who wasn't there: N*Sync. It was well known that three of the 5 in the popular '90s boyband definitely weren't at the wedding, with one of the boy's celebrating his sister's wedding, but Chris Kirkpatrick was known to be in Italy at the time, and many assumed he was at the wedding.
As it turns out, reported by E!, Chris Kirkpatrick was simply on holiday with his girlfriend - and ended up popping the question as well! "It was a very romantic trip," he told E! News. "I have been thinking about proposing for a while but this was totally spontaneous. Karly is an amazing girl and I am so happy to make her wife." Speaking to People he said "We had a hotel room at the Isle of Capri, overlooking the Mediterranean," he told the magazine. "It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. And it hit me: I wanted to propose to Karly. So I ran to a jewelry store, found the perfect ring and bought it."
And, on the topic of JT's wedding, Kirkpatrick was very kind. "He didn't want the wedding to be an 'N Sync reunion, and I totally understand that," he said. "I already had plans to be in Italy anyway. It was just a coincidence that I was there when Justin got married. There's really nothing negative about any of it." Any chance of a reunion in the future? We'll have to wait and see.
