'Longmire' has been revived by Netflix, who previously brought 'The Killing' back from the dead.
There was an outcry when A&E surprisingly cancelled fan-favorite series Longmire after three seasons a few months ago. The major cast-members, Robert Taylor and Katee Sackhoff had already signed deals for season 4, while season 3 concluded with a cliff-hanger ending.
Katee Sackhoff will reprise her role in Longmire for a new season on Netflix
Now, it appears Netflix has revived the series following several weeks of negotiations, closing the deal on a 10-episode fourth season to premiere in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in 2015.

Longmire producer Warner Horizon had launched a bid to find a new home for the show after A&E's cancellation and put together a detailed pitch focusing on the show's performance, it's fan-following and plans for season 4. Netflix was always the logical choice - the streaming service has a history of successfully reviving cancelled series and it already owns the rights to the previous seasons of Longmire as part of its deal with Warner Bros.
Lou Diamond Phillips will also be back for season 4
Based on the mystery novels of Craig Johnson, Longmire, a contemporary crime thriller, follows the charismatic sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming - Walt Longmore (Taylor).
"When Warner Horizon Television came to us with the idea for a new season of Longmire, we were intrigued because the series is so unique, and consistently great," said Cindy Holland, Netflix VP of Original Content. "We are thrilled to help continue Walt Longmire's story for his large and passionate following."

Season 4 of Longmire will pick up immediately after the finale of season 3, when Walt, having found out who was behind the murder of his wife, sets out in pursuit of the killer.
