43-year-old country singer Kevin Sharp has at the age of 43. According to a statement posted on his official website, Sharp died on Saturday from complications related to “past stomach surgeries and digestive issues.” While Sharp had a promising start to his country music career in the late 90s with his debut album Measure of a Man, he hadn’t released a studio album since 2005’s Make a Wish. Sharp was best known for his motivational speaking career. In his later years, he traveled the country giving seminars under the motto “One speaker, one voice.” His seminars incorporated some of his life coaching lessons and original songs.

Sharp made his country debut in 1997 with a cover of Tony Rich's single "Nobody Knows." The single topped the Billboard country charts for four weeks. His debut album, Measure of a Man, also produced several Top 5 singles including "If You Love Somebody" and "She's Sure Taking It Well."
In the late 80s and early 90s Sharp survived his own battle with cancer. After his musical career earned him some popularity, the singer/speaker awent on to work with the Make-A-Wish foundation. He also wrote a book, entitled Tragedy’s Gift, all about his experience with the deadly disease. His third studio album, Make-A-Wish, released on the independent Cupit Records label in 2005, dealt with the same subject matter, although none of the songs made it into the charts.
