Suri Cruise picks all of Katie Holmes' red carpet ensembles.

The nine-year-old fashionista, whose father is Tom Cruise, reportedly helps the 36-year-old actress select all of her clothes before she goes out in public.

A source told Life & Style Weekly magazine: ''Suri is the fashion authority when it comes to her mother's wardrobe.

''Suri's had the final say on Katie's red carpet choices since she was two. She's the one who gets to mix and match and choose the final combo her mother will wear.''

The budding personal stylist also gave Katie, who showed off a dramatically different look at the recent Met Gala in New York City, advice for her Holmes & Yang clothing collection.

The source said: ''Katie literally had all the pieces from her line rolled in on racks and Suri picked what ended up in the final collection.''

Katie - who is rumoured to be dating Jamie Foxx - previously admitted her daughter is a huge fan of fashion.

She said: ''I grew up the youngest of five, so there were a lot of hand-me-downs that I would sort of change up.

''And Suri and I do that now with her clothes. Or rather, she does it. She says, 'I want this sleeve cut,' and it's like, 'OK, we'll cut it.' She picks out all of her own clothes and has since she was one-and-a-half.

''Tom and I went to the Met ball a couple of years ago, and I had this beautiful red gown and these royal-blue shoes that I wasn't planning on wearing, but Suri made me put them on and so I was like, 'OK, I trust you.' ''
