Justin Bieber is healing a broken heart.

The 'What Do You Mean' hitmaker has revealed the reason he hasn't been in a relationship ''for a while'' is because he got his ''heart broke'' and he is ''just trying to let that heal up''.

The singer told Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS 1065 FM: ''I haven't been in a relationship for a while now.

''I got my heart broken. I'm just trying to let that heal up.''

However, the 21-year-old hunk admitted he is into have relationships and is really into ''cuddling'' and loves to ''be in love''.

He said: ''I'm a relationship type of guy. I love to be in love, love cuddling. I love all that stuff.''

The Canadian musician could be referring to ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez who he split from in October of last year as he is the only person he has been with of late.

The singer said he was mending his heart by having a ''few beers'', ''chilling'' and ''being by myself''.

Asked how he is dealing with the heartbreak told Kyle and Jackie O: ''I'm chilling and just hanging out. Just being by myself.

''I had a few beers guys, maybe I'm talking too openly?''
