Simon Holloway has quit Jimmy Choo, leaving Sandra Choi as sole creative director of the brand.
Sandra Choi has been named sole creative director of Jimmy Choo.
The designer - who is the niece of the label's eponymous founder - had served as co-creative director with Simon Holloway since November 2011, but now he has departed the company to pursue other interests, she will take on full responsibility for all of the label's products, including shoes, handbags, accessories, fragrances and eyewear, as well as brand identity.
The company wish Simon well in his new endeavours and are grateful for the work he put into the label.
Jimmy Choo chief executive Pierre Denis told WWD: ''During his tenure, Simon has contributed greatly to Jimmy Choo, both in product and brand development, including the successful launch of both the Jimmy Choo licensee businesses in fragrance and eyewear, and the introduction of the men's collections.
''We are grateful for all that he has accomplished at Jimmy Choo and wish him every success in his future endeavours.''
Simon's departure is the latest change for the company, following its appointment of a new CEO last summer.
Former John Galliano SA general manager Pierre Denise replaced Joshua Schulman, who stepped down from the position in November 2011, after the shoe brand was bought by Labelux in May.
Reinhard Mieck, chief executive officer of Labelux, said in a statement at the time: ''We are delighted to welcome an executive of Pierre's calibre to the Labelux family. With his unrivalled experience of the international luxury sector and keen understanding of our business, Pierre is without question the right person to drive forward the Jimmy Choo business and exploit the enormous growth potential of what is an exceptional brand.''
