Former ‘TOWIE’ star James Argent has been reinstated in the seemingly cursed reality TV show ‘The Jump’ despite already being eliminated, as bosses at Channel 4 have gotten desperate for contestants after a fifth celeb pulled out of the show.

Although he exited ‘The Jump’ at the weekend after a disastrous attempt at the air jump, the show has asked the 28 year old to return to the Austrian Alps because it has become so short of personnel. The much-publicised injury list grew again this week after Linford Christie departed, making him the fifth person to do so.

Breaking the unusual news on Thursday (February 11th) over his Twitter account, Argent made light of the bizarre situation on the show, asking his fans to pray for him with the hashtag #PrayForArg as he explained in a video clip that Linford has “passed me the baton” and declaring “I’m back, baby!”

Christie, a former Olympic gold medallist sprinter for Great Britain, now 55, announced that he was pulling out of ‘The Jump’ earlier on that day.

“It's with regret that Linford Christie has to withdraw from ‘The Jump’, the show’s producers announced in a statement. “Despite recovering from a hamstring injury he was not left with enough time to train for this weekend's show and reach the standard needed to compete.”

He joins ‘Made In Chelsea’s Mark-Francis Vandelli (fractured ankle), gymnast Beth Tweddle (broken back), Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington (dislocated shoulder) and ex-‘Coronation Street’ star Tina Hobley (broken arm) in having quit the show because of injury. The spate of injuries has caused many commentators and onlookers to call on Channel 4 to ditch ‘The Jump’ altogether.
