Britney Spears has been enjoying popularity and being able to stay in the spotlight for the right reasons during 2012, and this is largely due to her role as a judge on the American version of the X Factor. However, as US Weekly reports, her one season with the show was enough and she's getting sacked.
"Britney will get the boot," an insider told the magazine. According to the magazine's source, "Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn't working." She was paid a massive $15m for the gig, which she clearly hasn't earned with the show's ratings struggling against competition such as The Voice and American Idol, both of which have blown it out of the water. As well as being a fairly bland judge, "They paid all that for her to say 'amazing' and offer half-claps," the source notes. Fellow judge LA Reid has also stepped out of the show, which means that there'll be at least two places to fill for the next season, alongside Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato- so long as the latter doesn't get booted as well.
To truly spoil the end of what had been a great year for the soon to be unemployed star, the brother of her ex-husband has claimed to be the father of her eldest child. Christopher Federline, the brother of Kevin Federline, as the Daily Mail reports, said "I do confess I slept with Britney, and I am the true father, but the public does not need to know." So much for that, eh? Ah well, fingers crossed 2013 will sort all of this out for Britney.
