GO DADDY Ceo Bob Parsons has sparked outrage after he was filming killing an elephant whilst on a hunt in Africa.
GO DADDY Ceo Bob Parsons has come under fire for filming himself shooting an elephant during a recent vacation. In the particularly graphic video, a swarm of hungry 'villagers' are seen ripping flesh off the dead animal, reports MSNBC.com.
The multi-millionaire Ceo has attempted to explain the shooting, saying he only killed the animal because it was eating the villager's crops. His critics say that there are other non-lethal ways to solve such behaviour. Parsons said, "Zimbabweans have very little. Many die each year from starvation and one of the problems they have is the elephants, of which there are thousands and thousands, that trash many of their fields destroying the crops". The animal rights organisation PETA have launched a campaign urging people to join them in closing their GoDaddy.com accounts and also to email Parsons to express their outrage.
Bob Parsons founded the internet domain registrar Go Daddy back in 1997.Known for its marketing strategies, the company began advertising in the infamously expensive Super Bowl commercials in 2005.
