The new series of 'Ghost Hunters International' debuts next Wednesday on the network channel Syfy, with a lot to live up to following the success of the original series which has now spanned eight seasons since 2004. Monsters and Critics reports that the team head to Italy in the Wednesday (February 29, 2012) episode to discover if a prison's most famous inmate is guilty of paranormal crimes.
A clip of the episode shown by the site shows the team investigating the inside of the prison when disturbing noises begin to distract them, added to the fact that they begin to feel like they're being watched. In a classic thriller moment, the characters Paul and Susan are debating something when a figure whizzes past their eye sight leaving them to doubt whether they actually saw it or if it was their minds fooling them in the darkness. The third season of the show started back in July of last year has called visited countries all around the world, as was the intention of the spin-off. The first two episodes took place in Trinidad & Tobago and then onto Argentina with the team then heading to the UK & Ireland for the next couple. Other countries visited include New Zealand and Peru in what's truly been a globetrotting mission for the team.
The main 'Ghost Hunters' program was rocked recently by the news that Grant Wilson will be leaving the show, having been one of the founder cast members upon it's beginning in 2004.
