A German doctor has been convicted of involuntary manslaughter following the accidental death of porn star Sexy Cora.

The adult actress, real name Carolin Wosnitza, suffered a heart attack and died during a breast-enlargement operation in 2011.

The Hamburg hospital anaesthetist who oversaw the procedure has been found guilty of not ensuring the 23 year old had enough oxygen during the surgery.

The identity of the 56 year old doctor, who accepted the responsibility for the porn star's death, has not been released. She was handed a 15-month suspended sentence.

Wosnitza, who had a promising career ahead of her after making an appearance on the Big Brother Germany reality Tv show, died days after the botched procedure.
