Gene Simmons' son Nick is following in his rocker father's footsteps by forming his own band.
Nick Simmons, 25, reveals he has been busy recording material with the as-yet-unnamed group and cannot wait to share the music, which he has likened to the sounds of The Black Keys.
He tells the New York Post's Page Six column, "The new band is not so new, I've just been waiting to get it right. We don't even have a name yet. We have all the demos ready and hopefully you'll see something from us soon."
And the Simmons offspring is well prepared for music critics to compare him to the Kiss icon.
He says, "That's going to happen anyway, so I might as well do what I love in the meantime."
Nick is Gene Simmons' son with model/actress Shannon Tweed. The couple is also parents to daughter Sophie, 22.
