Actor Gautam Gulati Will Be Heading To Batting Practice To Prepare For His New Role As Retired Indian Cricketer Ravi Shastri In An Upcoming Biopic.
The star will portray the famed sportsman in Azhar, which will document the life of disgraced former Indian national cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin, who was implicated in a match-fixing scandal in 2000. He was banned from the sport for life by officials at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), but had the ruling lifted in 2012.
Confirming rumours of his involvement in the movie, Gulati says, "Yes, I am doing the film. But I am not allowed to speak about anything. I can't talk about the project in detail."
