‘American Horror Story’ has expanded its cast ahead of its upcoming sixth season, with the addition of former ‘Glee’ actor Jacob Artist to the FX show this week.

The 23 year old actor revealed the news himself via Instagram on Monday night (September 12th), captioning a shot of a script simply “Day 1” – taking care to block out the subtitle for the new season which premieres on Wednesday night at 10pm. Nevertheless, it was taken down a short time later.

The subject of the new anthology series has been a closely guarded secret – so much so that the network has gone about making a number of intentionally false trailers to go along with the real one over the last few weeks.

“They went out and made many more trailers than you've actually seen for...different genres and different places,” said John Landgraf, president of FX, in a recent interview. “I just love it on an artistic level. One of them is accurate, the others are all misdirects.”

Indeed, Artist’s role in ‘AHS’ hasn’t yet been confirmed. However, it’s not the first time that showrunner Ryan Murphy has used ‘Glee’ as a source for his casting.

Darren Criss made an appearance in fifth season ‘Hotel’, as did one-time ‘Glee’ guest star Matt Bomer. Artist joined ‘Glee’ way back in its fourth season in 2012 as Jake Puckerman, the younger brother of Mark Salling’s character Puck. He has since moved on to star in a recurring role in Quantico, having quit ‘Glee’ in 2015.

The only confirmed cast members for season six are Sarah Paulson, Lady Gaga, Evan Peters and Angela Bassett.
