And really, does anybody care?
Is “Teen Mom” Farrah Abraham’s sex tape real or fake?
Well, it’s real in the sense that it exists, that much has been confirmed. However, at this point, no one is really holding on to any illusion that it wasn’t a professionally produced effort. Actually, very few people still believe that any celebrity sex tape is “accidental”, but it’s even less likely in Farrah’s case. After TMZ reported that the reality lady was seen exiting Vivid Entertainment’s headquarters along with her co-star, porn actor James Deen, the jig is pretty much up. Deen confirmed it himself, saying: “I said I’m like the worst person for this job because, not to be arrogant, but people are gonna know me,” he told The Daily Beast. “If they see me in a porno, they’re gonna be like ‘Hey look, it’s James!’ And then they’ll come to me and ask me about this and I’m gonna be like, ‘Oh yeah, it was a porno’ … Really, what ended up happening was someone took a picture of her and I coming out of her hotel room and they sent that to TMZ. TMZ called me and was like, ‘Hey what’s going on?’ And I did exactly what I said I was gonna do. I’m not going to lie and tell them that I’m dating someone who I’ve never met before.”
Farrah, on the other hand, has been much more coy about the whole thing, or at least tried to be. Initially, she tried to claim that the ‘sex tape’ was leaked accidentally. She later assumed another line of defense: "I wanted my own personal video made and photos taken for myself. When I am older I will have my best year to look back on," Abraham told Today.com.
Bit of an odd souvenir, but who are we to judge? There might be another motive behind the little memento though, as the L.A. Times have reported that Abraham is already browsing around for a buyer for the tape.
