Ex Miss Alabama, Katherine Webb could well have her sights on New York city, according to a report from the New York Daily News. Katherine as in town recently for a Sports Illustrated photoshoot (for their infamous swimsuit issue, no less) and was overheard at a swanky restaurant, saying that she had plans to move to the Big Apple long term, so that she could pursue a modelling career.
Webb found herself momentarily at the centre of attention recently when the ESPN commentator Brent Musburger called her a “beautiful woman,” as the camera panned over to her whilst she watched her boyfriend AJ McCarron in the Alabama – Notre Dame game. When she went for a bite to eat at the upmarket Toy restaurant, she didn’t go unnoticed and a gaggle of female fans started to cheer and applaud her. She was “caught off-guard” to start with, it seems but eventually hatted to the women and was overheard saying that she’d been offered a spot on the next series of Dancing With the Stars. No word on whether or not she accepted, though, sadly.
“She looked gorgeous and kept a low profile. The ladies offered to buy her drinks, but she declined as she doesn’t drink,” the spy told NYDN. Webb is repped by LA Models and its New York sister company NY Models and it hasn’t taken her long to capitalize on that 15 minutes of fame, with a slot in the Sports Illustrated swimwear edition.
