They embark on their first collaborative date this week.
Frankie is set to be joined by Daya on a new North American tour kicking off later this week. The US rising stars will be playing at least 13 dates across the continent at clubs and non-arena venues in major cities, starting this weekend in Daya's home state of Pennsylvania.
Frankie is going on tour with Daya
The SSLP Tour 2017 begins at Philadelphia's Trocadero on February 18th, before hitting the likes of Boston, New York, Nashville, Dallas, Atlanta and coming to an end at the El Rey in Los Angeles on March 9th. In fact, reports say they'll be stopping in LA for a total of three shows at the end of the tour.
Oakland pop singer Frankie Miller (who performs under her mononym only) is set to release her debut album later this year; a much delayed project for which we are yet to know the title or premise of. It comes after a tremendously successful year, catching the media's attention with the song 'Problem Problems' and going on to release her EP 'Dreamstate' through RCA Records. Other singles that have come forth since are 'New Obsession' - a feature on Taylor Swift's 'New Songs That Will Make Your Life More Awesome' playlist - and most recently 'Blink'.
Before teaming up with Daya, Frankie previously toured alongside Aussie based musician Troye Sivan. Daya, meanwhile, is another fairly new artist who unveiled her debut album 'Sit Still, Look Pretty' in October 2016 (following 2015's self-titled EP). She went Platinum with her debut single 'Hide Away', but it was her collaboration with The Chainsmokers - the UK number 2 'Don't Let Me Down' - that earned her a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
More: David Bowie was also among this year's Grammy winners
She has previously been nominated at the Radio Disney Music Awards, the MTV VMAs, the Latin American Music Awards and the AMAs and she's also currently nominated for four iHeartRadio Music Awards and a Kids Choice Award.
