The regular on Dallas' 'Kiss FM' KHKS-FM and numerous other stations across the United States, died suddenly on Saturday (27 July)
David 'Kidd Kraddick, the television and radio personality known throughout Texas and the rest of the USA for his popular radio hosting duties, passed away suddenly on Saturday (July 27). 53-year-old Kraddick's cause of death is still unknown, although a statement has since been released on Kraddick's behalf which says that he died soon after a charity fundraiser, with an autopsy due to take place to determine in cause of death.

“It has been confirmed that Kidd Kraddick passed away today in New Orleans at a golf tournament organized to raise money for his beloved Kidd’s Kids charity,” KHKSFM owner Clear Channel Communications Incorporated revealed in a press release this Saturday - as quoted by Dallas News. The statement went on the read, “He died doing what he loved, and his final day was spent selflessly focused on those special children that meant the world to him,” the statement read. “Kidd devoted his life to making people smile every morning, and for 21 years, his foundation has been dedicated to bringing joy to thousands of chronically and terminally ill children."

A statement has also been released by his family that went on to detail their shock and heartbreak. The statement read, “We are all shocked and saddened by Kidd’s untimely passing. At this time, we ask that you respect our privacy as we mourn and grieve our family’s tremendous loss.”
Kraddick, a divorcee, leaves behind one daughter and a legacy of quality broadcasting and charitable pursuits. A staple on the Dallas broadcasting scene since his debut on 'The Eagle' KEGL-FM in 1984 and became a mainstay on the station in 1992. He became known across the nation by 2001 when his 'Kiss FM' show became syndicated, airing in over 100 cities across the country. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
