Danniella Westbrook has slammed reports that her recent return to 'EastEnders' was cut short over backstage disagreements, claiming that she fulfilled her contract and rumours of a dispute are 'absolute lies'. The actress' return to the British soap was brief, reprising her role as Sam Mitchell for the funeral of Peggy Mitchell.

The 42-year-old star, who appeared in 'Celebrity Big Brother' earlier this year, has been filming scenes for 'EastEnders' over the past two weeks, in a brief reunion for the funeral of Barbara Windsor's legendary landlady character and her onscreen mother Peggy Mitchell. However, suggestions that she has been less than co-operative behind the scenes have been branded as totally false by her representative.

'She didn't get fired she worked her full contract. It's absolute lies', her spokesperson told the Daily Mail. 'She was not fired she fulfilled her contract and she was booked for two episodes and that is what she shot.'

A source had previously told The Sun that Westbrook had been exhibiting 'unprofessional behaviour' backstage, such as showing up late to filming and bringing her boyfriend George Arnold along with her. The 'insider' went on to say that she was sacked after just two weeks. 'This is a huge opportunity lost for Danniella, who was being given another chance to prove herself. But she failed miserably', they said.

Of course, it wouldn't be the first time that the actress had been axed from the soap. She was previously fired for her notorious drug use, but these days she's been clean and definitely getting her life back on track.

The actress took to Twitter to blast the rumours herself. 'I had two weeks work 2 do @bbceastenders a funeral to shoot. Nothing with Peggy or grant. I was not sacked or axed I just did 4 episodes', she said, adding: 'I was happy 2 go back 2 Eastenders 4 a few episodes. But I'm ready to call another soap home now .. A move north maybe.'

So will we be seeing her around 'Coronation Street' or 'Emmerdale' in the future?
