Cult British rocker Dan Treacy is receiving intensive physiotherapy at a rehabilitation unit to help him learn how to walk and talk again after an operation to remove a blood clot from his brain.
The Television Personalities frontman spent five weeks in a medically-induced coma last year (11) following surgery in London, and last month (Mar12) he was moved to a specialist clinic to aid his recovery.
Treacy is suffering problems with his speech, mobility and eyesight but pals are pleased with the 51 year old's progress.
A post on the band's website reads, "Update which I know is long overdue to all Daniel's friends and fans. Daniel was transferred 11 days ago to a Neurological Brain Injury Rehabilitation Hospital. Daniel now has daily physio-therapy (and) occupational therapy (and) speach (sic) and language therapy.
"I see slow progress daily Daniel is very tired after all this but it (is) so good to see the improvement he is making. Although Daniel is not walking yet and his eye sight (is) poor we hope the progress he has made will continue."
