Claire Coffee and Chris Thile have finally tied the knot in a small, rural Tennessee ceremony at the famed Blackberry Farm, which is overlooked by the Smoky Mountains. Coffee, who plays an evil Hexenbiest in NBC fantasy drama Grimm, married her boyfriend of two-and-a-half years, the famed mandolinist Chris Thile, on the 23rd December.

Pictures posted by both of the stars from the wedding show a crisp Tennessean day playing stage to the union of the talented pair. Fur, lace and autumnal tones were the order of the day as Chris and Claire surrounded themselves with just 20 of their closest friends and family, including Bon Iver's Rob Moose who played violin whilst the 33 year-old actress walked down the aisle.

"[There were] 20 people in attendance TOTAL," Coffee told People. "Our immediate family and grandparents, plus Chris's best friend Rob Moose (of Bon Iver), who played Bach on violin for my walk down the aisle." In a personal touch, Coffee said her sister Abbie officiated the ceremony and the couple wrote their own romantic words themselves, alongside the traditional Irish vows they used to swap "I do's."


We're getting pretty tired of typing the words "rustic" and "intimate" for just about every celebrity wedding going these days and indeed the pair score low for originality after getting married at the exact same location that Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon Blackstock chose for their own wedding only weeks before.

Coffee apparently wore a 76-year-old vintage lace gown, purchased alongside a vintage veil at Xtabay Vintage Bridal Salon in Portland, Oregon. Thile, of Punch Brothers fame, looked dapper in a dark brown wool suit custom made by Against Nature in New York City. The just-married couple and their guests headed to Blackberry Farm's award-winning wine cellar for the reception.

Though he was less verbose than his new wife, Chris was evidently overjoyed to be married to his long-term lover, writing "Pinch me." with a photo of his bride against the beautiful countryside setting.

Though the busy couple apparently don't have time at the moment for a honeymoon, they made the most of their first official days together over the Christmas period. "We spent Christmas with our families at Blackberry after the wedding," shared Claire. The star was excited to share details of her wedding, captioning a photo "Merry Christmas, y'all. #BlackberryFarm #hitched."
