Christina Applegate was forced to discuss a date she walked out on with one of Hollywood’s most handsome men whilst appearing on Watch What Happens Live. The date took place over twenty years ago but the revelation was still shocking. After all, who would walk out on a date with Brad Pitt?

WWHL host Andy Cohen asked the 43-year-old actress a series of questions in his ‘Plead the Fifth’ round and she admitted to having left a date with Pitt early. Incredibly, she even left the date to go out with another man.

"In your files there was much talk of a date with Brad Pitt to the MTV Movie Awards in 1989," Cohen said.

"You ditched him for another guy?" Cohen continued. "The question is, who was the guy you ditched Brad Pitt for?"

Applegate refused to reveal who the man was. It appears he was well-known but was not an actor nor was he anyone she eventually ended up dating. Applegate continued to refuse to reveal the man’s name and even resorted to simply sitting with her lips pursed, looking extremely uncomfortable as Cohen continued to probe. He eventually left her off the hook and we’re still none the wiser!

Fortunately, despite giving up her change with Pitt, things worked out romantically for Applegate. After a six year marriage to actor Johnathon Schaech between 2001 and 2007, Applegate married for the second time in 2013. She and her second husband, musician Martyn LeNoble, began dating in 2009 and married four years later. They have a child together, four-year-old Sadie. 

As for Pitt’s relationships… Well, unless you’ve been living on the moon for the past decade, you know the rest!

Applegate stars in Vacation, the comedy which was released in the U.S. last weekend. The road trip movie follows one dysfunctional family as they attempt to enjoy each other’s company whilst on holiday. Vacation also stars Ed Helms, Chevy Chase, Chris Hemsworth and Leslie Mann.
