CBS's Thursday-night lineup returned with original episodes and easily polished off all the competition, including Fox's American Idol. Although its ratings were clearly affected by the battle with Idol, The Big Bang Theory nevertheless drew 17.51 million viewers to Idol's 13.73 million. NBC's 30 Rock finale wound up with 4.80 million viewers. At 8:30 p.m. CBS's Two and a Half Men led with 13.72 million viewers. At 9:00 p.m. Fox lost nearly two-thirds of its viewers as Glee followed Idol with 5.54 million viewers to place third. CBS dominated the hour with 15.62 million viewers tuning in for Person of Interest. ABC's Grey's Anatomy placed second with 8.77 million. NBC's The Office trailed with 4.44 million viewers. At 10:00 p.m., CBS's Elementary, which has been given the post-Super Bowl slot on CBS on Sunday, kept the network in the lead at 10:00 p.m. with 10.80 million viewers. ABC's Scandal placed second with 8.10 million viewers, and NBC's Do No Harm didn't do much good, either, with only 3.13 million viewers.
