Sir Ben Kingsley may reprise his role as Trevor Slaterry/Mandarin for a secret Marvel project, following his appearance in Iron Man 3. During a new interview with the Belfast Telegraph, Kingsley sort of confirmed that he isn't done with the popular character yet.

"It's a secret Marvel project," Sir Ben teased, "I'm not allowed to say any more, you're going to have to wait and see...I was with many members of the crew that were involved in Iron Man 3. It was lovely to see them again. It was great to be with this wonderful family."

Given that Kingsley had admitted to working with the same cast as before, it's likely that he's going to reprise his comedic role as the drunken actor Trevor Slattery/Mandarin. As Screenrant suggests, Marvel could be designing a One-Shot short film around the character, perhaps for the DVD and Blu-Ray released of Thor: The Dark World or Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

It's also possible that the character is going to make an appearance in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D television series, not unlike Samuel L Jackson's appearance in the second episode.

Elsewhere in the Marvel universe, we reported yesterday that Joss Whedon is yet to sign on for a third Avengers movie given his contract ends with Age of Ultron. He may yet helm the third instalment and the anticipated Ant-Man (with Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Paul Rudd), though nothing has been discussed given Whedon's current work on the big-budget sequel. 

Sir Ben Kingsley has no less than 10 projects currently in development, including adventure drama The Physician with Stellan Skarsgard.
