Rap mogul BABY is unfazed by the criticism he has received for kissing his superstar protege Lil Wayne, insisting the controversy was taken "too far".
The pair stunned the hip-hop world in 2006 when images surfaced online, showing the stars greeting each other with a kiss on the lips.
Rap rivals have taunted Baby, aka Birdman, and Lil Wayne for their close relationship, with 50 Cent poking fun at them on his song Part Time Lover when he raps: "You make me wanna kiss you like Baby kiss Wayne and make you call me daddy like Baby do Wayne/Damn that sh** sounds gay, it's insane."
But Baby, real name Bryan Williams, insists there's nothing wrong with showing affection, because he considers Wayne part of his family.
He says, "That's my son. If he was right here, I'd kiss him again. I kiss my daughter, my other son...
"If you did (have children), you'd understand what I meant with it. I just think people took that too far man. That's my son. I'll do it again tomorrow, I'll kill for him. Ride and die for him."
Baby has mentored Wayne throughout his career since discovering him at the age of 11 and signing him to Cash Money Records.
