Austin Mahore's week has been one of the toughest in his professional and personal career.

The teen heartthrob was admitted to hospital on Thursday morning (Oct 17th) and is being treated for a blood clot on the singer's throat.

Mahore's rep told the Associated Press he is dealing with "extreme inflammation in his throat as well as severe dehydration."

The 17 year-old posted a photo via instagram of him on sat in a hospital room holding, wearing a gown and holding an IV drip with a caption reading, "I've never felt so bad."

Mahore was scheduled to begin his sold-out tour onThursday but due to the 'What About Love' singer's recent health issues, the tour has been entirely cancelled.

According to People, source close to the singer said the tour "may have to be rescheduled for early 2014."

The teen singer has previously opened for American pop-singer, Taylor Swift, and won the artist to watch award at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

Mahore's team released a statement to USA TODAY on Friday which said;

"Due to illness, Austin Mahone will unfortunately have to postpone his sold out MTV Artist to Watch Presents Tour to 2014. The singer, who fell ill earlier this week and already postponed his Miami and Orlando shows, is now on strict Dr.'s orders to stay on rest and will need to reschedule all dates on the tour.The tour featured support artists Becky G, Midnight Red, and W3 The Future. Ticket holders for the sold out tour will be notified of the new 2014 dates and all details as soon as possible".

Mahore tweeted his disappointment about the cancellation of his first tour, "I can't believe this is happening its my first tour I'm so upset. I feel like I'm letting you all down".

His debut album is due out sometime next year.
