An anti-abortion documentary film that has been viewed 1.5 million times on YouTube and was sent on disc to 600,000 Mississippians prior to Tuesday's vote on "personhood" has been denounced by the Anti-Defamation League. The film, 180, which compares the extermination of the Jews by Nazi Germany to abortion, was described by the ADL as "one of the most offensive and outrageous abuses of the memory of the Holocaust we have seen in years." In a statement, ADL National Director Abraham Foxman said, "No Christian who understands Jewish suffering should resort to inappropriate comparisons to the Holocaust to send a message that abortion is wrong. This was one of the most painful chapters in human history. Must the memory of the 6 million and millions of other victims be continually misused and abused by those with another agenda?"
