Episode ten of the current series of American Horror Story brought with it the usual weirdness and twists and turns that so often make audiences think “what the hell!?!” and frankly who’d want it any other way?
Someone you wouldn’t want to bump into in a dark ally, Bloody Face, is knocking at the steel door separating him from Teresa - whose own fetishes it proves have come back to haunt her in the worst kind of way – so much so that it is ready to come off… which it eventually does. Just as it looks like the Butcher of Briarcliff will claim his latest victim Leo, Teresa’s husband, miraculously rises from near death and takes down the killer, eventually managing to drive a stake through his chest and ending the nightmare at last. Who needs two arms anyway?
Teresa isn’t done there though, as she makes sure business is done as she drives the skewer in Face’s torso into his chest a few times just for good measure. Normally this would be seen as overkill, but this is American Horror Story after all.
So the horror is finally over for the two, and with Leo’s slowly dying weight atop her, Teresa makes her way towards the exit and phones 911, of course the horror isn’t over yet, oh no, it’s only just begun. Turns out there’s a whole heap of copycat Bloody Faces and they’re hot on the tails of the twosome. The copycat killers draw in on the two unlucky lovers and then… we have to wait til next week to find out what happens.
As for Sister Mary Eunice, well it’s still not sure whether she’s possessed by good or evil, but the stage side effects of being a host body don’t get any easier as the week’s episode goes on.
