The winner of the competition will get to spend one night on the set of the famous Aussie soap, access all areas, and have dinner with some of the show's stars.
As part of the 30th anniversary of its first ever broadcast, the evergreen Australian soap opera ‘Neighbours’ is teaming up with Airbnb to offer a set of lucky fans the chance to spend a night on the set, which is being specially converted into a temporary hotel.
The soap’s producers have listed its studios in Melbourne on the rent-out lodging website as part of the competition, whose winners will get to spend the night in one of the on-set houses, visit all parts of the fictional Ramsay Street, and have dinner with two of the show’s actors, Alan Fletcher (‘Dr. Karl Kennedy’) and Chris Milligan (handyman ‘Kyle Canning’), in order to get all the backstage gossip.

Fletcher, who made his debut on the show way back in 1994, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for guests to be hosted on the set of Ramsay Street for the first time ever. A sleepover on the set is a truly unique experience, where guests will see what goes on behind-the-scenes, meet their favourite stars and see where all the drama unfolds.”

To be in with a chance, entrants must head to the Airbnb website and say why they would like to spend a night on set in 25 words or less. A spokesman for Airbnb said: “This ‘Neighbours’ listing provides an unforgettable travel experience for Aussie, UK and Kiwi fans, where they get to make Ramsay Street their home for the night.”
‘Neighbours’ has been running since March 18th 1985, and has helped to launch the wider entertainment careers of many, including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Natalie Imbruglia, Holly Valance and Margot Robbie.
The show has also marked the auspicious 30 year milestone by inviting back actors and actresses from the show’s past to make guest appearances: among them, Nina Tucker (played by ‘The Voice’ judge Delta Goodrem) and good old Harold and Madge Bishop (Ian Smith and Anne Charleston).
