Hip-hop star 50 Cent is adding to his bustling portfolio by becoming a movie producer.

The IN DA CLUB rapper, real name CURTIS JACKSON, has ventured into video games, porn production, fashion and acting, and now he's just completed a development deal to produce films.

He tells MTV Europe, "When I come across a screenplay that's as exciting as my life story, then I will commit to it."

50 Cent is already planning to turn his forthcoming G-UNIT series of street fiction books into DVD films, if not theatrical releases, shortly after they are published in 2007.
