compliation Forever Heavenly Album

Admittedly when I got this cd I had a quick glance at it, realised I only knew 2 of the artists and quickly put it at the bottom of the cd pile, oh how foolish I was!?! Take a trip back to the 60s and the time of the summer of love, peace and pyschedelia. Think Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead and Woodstock. I could just imagine someone at Woodstock rolling a spliff and listen to this CD. There are 20 songs in total on the album, there are however, 3 songs on the cd that are not very trippy at all man, but still good tunes, Sake rock sounds like something you would hear in a Chinese restaurant, jig-a-jig is like Michael Flatley on speed and good old Clarence 'Frogman' henry with ain't got no home (macauley culkin sings this in uncle buck) which is a great song and you cant help singing along to but seems somewhat out of place on this compilation.

The remaining 17 tracks are just groovy man! For all of us who were not fortunate enough to be around in the 60s this is as close as we will get to realising just how good the music was and it is well worth a listen. Best song for me is Manfred Mann- one way class. Don't let your folks know if you buy this because you won't get it off them as it will let them relive their youth. Well worth the money!
