| Mo Wax add yet another notch to their already more than comprehensive belt with the addition of legendary producer David Axelrod. Hes been a respected figure in the music industry since the 1950s producing work for the likes Lou Rawls and Cannonball Adderley, leading right through to today where he still gets shouts from current musos such as The Verve, Radiohead and fellow statesiders Dr Dre and Rass Kass. The two tracks featured here are a taster for his up and coming album release (consisting mainly of original samples from what was to be the third Electric Prunes album). Needless to say this is a quality double sider that reeks of his earlier work from the seventies, pure funk rock with basslines, brass and percussion to die for. Excellent. |
