Wreckage

“Wreckage”, the debut album, will be available for the first time in the UK on June 13 th by Overseer, including a Leeds , England-based bloke named Rob Overseer.

They are crazy guys with a crazy video and image especially in the video for “Horndog”.

It’s a mixture of rap, hard rock and amazing drum rolls!!! In fact, I don’t even know what to say about them – there music is nothing I’ve heard of! It goes from complete head banging to slow melodies full of vocals then back to slamming rock and rap!! Weird!

This band must be good at something – they’re being hailed by Fatboy Slim after doing some live shows. “Wreckage” was produced in the guys’ cellar – studio.

“Wreckage” is quite a perfect title for this band; it speaks for itself in terms of difference and uniqueness. Rob has tried to get across his diverse likings in the music industry with this album. For the duration of the album, they have not stuck to one style, they generally mix rap with break beats and rock. It’s weird but wicked at the same time. Some songs are quite poor, but that’s just my opinion!

The album is full of banging beats and different sounds to accompany each song. The album oozes power and is very exhilarating. It is also quite dimensional and appeals to many who have heard them through TV and movies.

I’ve never actually heard of these guys however their songs are very popular!! “Super moves” features on tonnes of video games, movies directed by Guy Ritchie and on TV. “

There infamous song “Velocity Shift” is taken from the Vodafone adverts!!! This song also featured in the film “Daredevil”. If you’ve heard the song on the adverts, you’ll appreciate it more. I really like the song now that I’ve heard it in full swing! Chemical Brothers fans will like this album! However, if you’re not sure about the genre then the album’s not for you. You’ll only like it if you listen to techno and rock/rap like The Beastie Boys!!

Overseer will play a full live set at Josephs Well in Leeds (UK) on September 28th.
