Admirable Anderson: A big thumbs up to Anderson Cooper this week, who came out as gay in a bold email to fellow journalist Andrew Sullivan. The television star explained, "I couldn't be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud". Amen to that.
Here's Charlie! This week in entertainment saw the welcome return of Charlie Sheen, whose FX comedy 'Anger Management' broke television records as the most watched debuting sitcom. Congratulations Charlie, is certainly been quiet around here without you.
No Frills for Alec: After the nuptials of Agyness Deyn and Giovanni Ribisi took us all by surprise, it was Alec Baldwin's turn to put together a hasty ceremony and marry Hilaria Thomas in New York this week. Congratulations to the '30 Rock' star and his new wife, though we fear for the pesky photographers who'll no doubt be looking to snap the newlyweds.
Bearhugs All Round: The fourth high-five of the week goes to Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg, whose comedy 'Ted' cleaned up at the box-office over the lucrative Fourth of July weekend. The movie follows an innocuous looking teddy bear who drinks, smokes and chases women. What's not to love?
Hot Stuff: It was a close call for Rihanna this week, after the star was evacuated from her London hotel after a blaze in the elevator. It turned out to be a blessing is disguise, as RiRi got to visit the capital's most impressive attractions at 6am, free from the crowds of tourists!
Quiet night for Lindsay? It's a big Happy Birthday to Lindsay Lohan, who turned 26-years-old this week. You'd be excused for assuming her celebrations would be awash with expensive champagne and cocktails - though you'd be very, very wrong.
Coolest Double Date, Ever? Jay Z and Kanye West aka 'Watch the Throne' picked up the 'Best Group' award at this week's BET Awards, though it was the pair's dates Beyonce and Kim Kardashian who snatched the headlines away from their famous men.
Bieber Makes the Grade: Not content with hit records, screaming girls and sold-out tours, it appears Justin Bieber also has a little intelligence. The teenage sensation was one of 192 students graduating at St. Michael Catholic Secondary School in Stratford this week. Well done to him.
Katy, Now Available in 3-D: This week marks the release of Katy Perry's long-awaited 3-D movie 'Part of Me'. Fans of the star will no doubt be rushing down to theaters over the weekend to watch a film that documents the highs and lows of life on the road.
Video of the Week: This week's hottest footage comes from Oliver Stone's 'Savages' premiere in New York and features Blake Lively signing autographs for fans, and John Travolta putting on a brave face despite intense media speculation concerning his private life.
