Miranda Lambert has adopted a kitten.
The 31-year-old country singer, who split from her husband Blake Shelton in July following four years of marriage, has taken solace in the tiny grey tabby after her friend Harper Lundy turned up with the fluffy creature at her door.
Sharing a sweet snap of her cradling the adorable animal on her Instagram account last night (01.10.15), Miranda wrote: ''When your friend @harps226 comes to visit and says, 'Oh by the way I picked up a stray kitten on the highway in Arkansas and it's in the garage.' And then she smile's this innocent smile. Guess who has a kitten now?''
The 'Automatic' hitmaker - who has been an animal activist for many years - already owns seven rescue dogs.
Her love of animals extends further than just adopting them though as she also raises money for her charity, The Mutt Nation Foundation, whenever she can.
Meanwhile, the blonde bombshell has reportedly been ''having a blast'' since she split from her beau Blake, 39, earlier this year but isn't looking to date anyone else just yet.
A source said previously: ''She may have lost a husband, but Miranda gained a while new outlook on life.''
The insider added: ''She's dressing sexier, exercising again and smiling more than ever. She lost part of herself trying to be what Blake wanted. Miranda feels her new look and attitude is just what the doctor ordered. She's having a blast flirting and being single.''
