Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr has gotten engaged to her billionaire boyfriend Evan Spiegel, the founder of social media site Snapchat.

The 33 year old beauty took to her Instagram account to announce the news on Wednesday (July 20th), sharing a bitmoji of her now-fiancé getting down on one knee and proposing to her. The cartoon pics were imposed onto a black-and-white shot of Kerr’s hand boasting the engagement ring.

Kerr and 25 year old Spiegel, a tech guru and one of the world’s youngest billionaires after he co-created Snapchat four years ago, have been dating since June 2015, having been introduced at a Louis Vuitton dinner party in New York the previous year. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at a pre-Grammys event in February 2016.

An inside source told E! News soon after the news broke: “Miranda is so excited to be engaged to Evan. She can't wait to marry him… Once they get married they will start trying for children. That's something they both want.”

About the engagement itself, the source continued: “Evan surprised her when he proposed. It was done in a very romantic setting and he said very touching words while asking her.”

Last year, Kerr opened up about how happy she was about her new relationship. “He's just a really kind person and very genuine and very authentic and I really appreciate that about him,” she said. “And also he's very intelligent.”
