A new Instagram photo of Miley Cyrus wearing what appears to be an engagement ring have triggered rumours that her reunion with Liam Hemsworth is going pretty well – are they due to get married once again?

Having initially split up in September 2013, she and her former fiancé reportedly enjoyed a reconciliation over New Year’s in Hemsworth’s native Australia. They were also spotted together and behaving very much like a couple at a Golden Globes party on January 8th.

However, things might be getting pretty serious, with an Instagram pic on Monday (January 18th) showing Miley, sporting a pretty eye-catching outfit while arriving back in New York, showing off a respectable piece of jewellery on her left ring finger. Many users remarked that it looked awfully similar to the 3.5 carat ring that Hemsworth gave her back in May 2012.

“I look like a f****** strawberry,” she captioned the snap, along with a photo of herself in the green and pink rain outfit. “#looklikemyf******momdressedmethisam #prettysureihadthissamelookat6.”

A recent piece in Us Weekly reported that the pair, who broke off their 16-month engagement over two years ago, are giving it another try and, though nothing was official, that they were “passionately reconnecting”.

“She says she's always loved Liam and always will,” an unnamed source told the outlet. “She never really got over Liam.” The feeling is apparently reciprocated. “He's never met anyone quite like her who has that hold on him… …He realizes she was growing up and experimenting, he took a step back and gave her time to do that,” the same insider continued. “Miley's always had a special place in his heart.”

Since meeting up again, “they've been talking for a while, and now they're seeing each other again. They are seeing where it goes before officially getting back together.”
