Michael Jackson fans believe they’ve found proof that the iconic singer is still alive after ‘spotting’ him in the background of one of his daughter Paris’ selfies. One fan even went so far as to make a video to share the ‘proof’ that Jackson isn't actually dead after all.

The selfie, posted to Instagram in May, shows Paris in her car during a trip around the Joshua Tree in California. While to most the shadowy figure in the background looks like a pile of clothes, to some Jackson fans it appeared to be her late father.

On Youtube a user called ‘Believe’, who frequently posts videos which claim to show Jackson is still alive, made a clip using the picture which ends with a zoomed in shot of the background figure and Jackson’s face coming into focus.

Paris had captioned the selfie ‘if you give a little love, you can get a little love of your own,’ but fans commented that they could see her father in the background. Jackson died on June 25, 2009, when Paris, now 18. was just 11.

Earlier this week Paris’ brother Prince penned a poem for his father on what would have been his 58th birthday. The 19-year-old wrote: ‘To many he is a king, to me, a man, all he inspires, to lead a noble cause. Everyone is family, not a fan even while receiving thunderous applause.’

‘The many know the Legend and the Myth, A lucky few know the man as he is, But not as the Jackson family fifth.’ The poem was shared on Instagram by Paris, who added: ‘Love this… proud of you big brother. And happy birthday to the man that means more to us than anything and anyone ever could’.
